Well, we’ve arrived at the first major milestone in the Coca-Cola Virtual Thirst contest – today, May 25, is the closing date for the submission of entries.
We’ve already received some terrific entries. Imaginative, creative, fun. We’ve been blown away by the sheer quality of those ideas.
If you’re thinking of entering, you still have time if you act quickly – you have until midnight US Eastern time today (that’s 5:00am GMT on May 26) to get your entry in!
Not sure what Virtual Thirst is about? It’s simple:
- We ‘ve invited the world to use the Second Life platform to design and prototype the ultimate Coke machine – something that delivers an innovative, engaging experience in Second Life. Check out the prototype experiences in the Coke Pavilion in Second Life.
- It’s a chance for anyone with a vivid imagination to design an experience that embodies the ‘Coke Side of Life’ in a way that enhances their lives and the lives of others within Second Life.
- If you can imagine it, you can participate.
So the contest is about your ideas, with the winning idea becoming (virtual) reality by being built and made available within Second Life. The winner also gets 500,000 Linden dollars, the currency of Second Life.
