crayon Launch Event a Success

Have you ever been in a stage production? The rush of energy that fills backstage just before you start. Little things go wrong. Last minute fixes. Mayhem. Crazy times that no one will ever see because they are behind the curtain?

That is what makes any live event special in my eyes. The stuff that is never seen. Sure, we had some of that today at the crayon launch, but I would of had it any other way.

Chilling After the Launch

I feel very satisfied with the attendance and the overall flow of the event.

Had a moment of panic when my computer locked up and Second Life had to reboot right in the middle of it, but I kept going and talking and it was ok.

Many hours of hard work go into launching a company. A personal thank you to every member of the crayon team, the gang at Millions of Us, Linden Labs for creating this world in the first place and everyone else who helped me stay sane during all of this.

This picture shows the mingling afterwards. It took me this long to post because I wanted to make sure to talk to everyone that had questions.

Can I take a nap now? *grin*

Congratulations, everyone. Such a buzz to be there! Lovely to see Jangles again (after a real-life meeting in Vancouver earlier this year) and to meet so many others. I took a few pics too.

  • Congratulations Crayons. Glad to hear the launch was a success. Wish I could have been there but my first life was all I could handle today. BTW. I found Shel's FIR coffee mug but as I was trying to pick it up Adam Curry swiped it. Good luck getting it back now ;)
  • Congrats. I heard it went well anyway :)
