The first time is always awkward

As I write my first post on the new crayon blog (and wonder how the hell i’m going to maintain Jaffe Juice, Across the Sound and crayonCast), it dawned on me that the first post is always the hardest…the first episode…or the first comment (text or audio).

It’s a great insight, but moreover really encouraging to anyone nervous or hesitant to dip their toes in the new marketing waters.

I think part of the reason is that you need to get comfortable…but really it’s about finding your “authentic” voice and being at peace with your place in the giant conversation that is going on even as we speak.

So this post is the first of many from me, but I’m hoping that the members of crayon without their own existing blogs will prove me right…i.e. once you begin, there’s no going back and become the mainstay of this new extension of the infant crayon voice.

  • You sound a little nervous, Jaffe :)

    Congratulations, mate.
  • Marcel Zierfuss
    I'm rooting for you 100%!

    Best of luck.
  • I have been a dedicated listener of ATS since episode 32 and look forward to it every week. My favourite episode is 55, which I have burned on a CD and have listened to in my car commuting at least 10 times as there is so much valuable content in that episode.

Every since I heard about Crayon, I have been extremely excited about this and have told several people about it. The Marketing World just changed today.

Sorry I missed you in Toronto last week as you were less than 30 minutes away. I would have loved to be there to meet yourself and CC Chapman.

Congratulations to you and all of the gang at Crayon!
  • Congraulations on your new venture! I'll be watching closely and expect great things.
