Detroit Motor Juice

If you're in the DTW (that's Detroit), I'll be keynoting FutureMidWest on Friday morning and it promises to be one hell of an event (not just because I'm opening keynote of course!) Looks like the event will be jam packed, but hey....I'm sure there's a place for you too if you want to come.

I'll also be doing a #tweetea book signing at the Royal Oak Barnes & Noble on Friday at 12noon EST, so if you're native to the area, it would be awesome if you could swing by during your lunchtime for a bit of a tweet-up and conversation about customer service, customer experience and "Flipping the Funnel."

Also props to the folks over at B&N for getting in on the whole social media thang. Follow them on Twitter: @bnroyaloak.

Rock on Motown.

JJTV #69 – Nook’s Promotion Strategy: The Best or Worst EVER???

In this episode, I debate whether Barnes & Noble's promotion and distribution strategy for their e-Reader - the Nook - was the best OR worst EVER.

Whilst I'm not sure about the limited supply portion, the in-store promotion via pop-up retail kiosks was sheer genius.

...and I did purchase Nook's for all the crayon employees, so I guess something's working.
